what is the difference between a pm5 and a pm8 ecu

thanks. i just bought a 90 crx dx. it had the pm5 in it. i just did the mini me swap and the car had the other ecu in the trunk so i plugged it up to see how it would run. the check engine light came on and it ran horribly.

 

what codes was it throwin'?
