There are two things to consider here. The key has to be programmed to start the car... the immobilizer system needs to know it is a "good" key. Your dealer is the only one who can do this. Also, did the key come precut? If not you will have to have your dealer cut the key also. Post again and let me know, if the only thing you need is to program the keyless entry, it is easy, costs nothing and I can tell you how. Let me know.

The key fits, and was ordered based on my VIN#. I just need the instructions. It was sent to me but the seller said that he tries to help save on the purchase of the key but does nto want to divulge any technology from Honda.

Ok... well I am still concerned that the key will not start the engine. There is no way that it could have been programmed by the VIN... cut yes, but it might not start the car. Anyway, to program the keyless do the following:

- get all of your keys, take them with you out to the car.
- Take any key, insert it into the ignition
- Turn the key to RUN (two clicks forward NOT start)
- Press and release the LOCK button on the key that is in the ignition (once only)
- Turn the key to OFF (two clicks back)
- Turn the key to RUN
- Press and release the LOCK button on the key that is in the ignition (once only)
- Turn the key to OFF (two clicks back)
- Turn the key to RUN
- Press and release the LOCK button on the key that is in the ignition (once only)
- Turn the key to OFF (two clicks back)
- Turn the key to RUN
- Press and release the LOCK button on the key that is in the ignition You should hear the locks cycle in the car at this time
- Press and release the LOCK button again on the same key (locks should cycle again)
Press and release the lock button on each remaining keyless remote (up to 4 total) you should hear the locks cycle each time you press LOCK on each remote.
- Turn the key to OFF and remove it from the ignition, with all the doors closed, and the key out of the ignition, try all thr remotes.
