I was looking at this accord today that had minor accident. The front bumper is a little messed up but still driveable. There are chips and dents on the left side of the car. The grill is missing and the hood got 2 small bumps. The passenger side airbag is already deployed. I started the car and the engine sounds great. Took it for a spin and there doesnt seem to have any engine problem. The guy also just replaced 4 tires(TOYO), timming belt, and tune up. Is there anything else i should look into before purchasing the car?

PS. $3800 is the asking price. I got it down to 3500. 107K miles on it

 

3500 isn't too bad... except that airbag repair is going to be costly. When an airbag has deployed, you have to replace the deployed bag AND the srs unit. The srs unit is usually several hundred dollars. Make sure you figure this as well as the body work into the cost. Also look at the condition of the radiator, and A/C condenser. They are located right behind the front bumper, and take alot of damage in even relatively minor front end collisions.

 

That is a good deal. V6 is only 175HP but the car is considerably quieter than the 4cyl version. Down side to engine is it a cast iron block and aluminum head. You can swap a j30 in there making the car lighter and more powerful at the same time.
