check engine when starting Honda Accord EX 92 for first time
Dear users,
Thank you for reading and please help me with this.
I had problem while starting my honda accord ex 92. makes noise and once i hold the key for a while it starts. but after that if i turn off the car and restart it works fine. it was ok with me but sometimes the car vibrates while i am driving.
regular oil change, air filter, fuel filter, tune up done 3 months back
Took car to 2 mechanics. first guy changed the starter. no luck
second guy changed the oxygen sensor. no luck
now they say i got to change the distributor. am i going on right track
i have spent enough money on car but the mechanics are just playing around with changing parts everytime i take to them. do please reply. all your help will be appreciated.
Thanks once again.

Ok Gibbous!!! First of all, get your money back for that starter, if you have it installed and made no difference, don't keep it, why?!.. when it's not making any difference!!!
You need to take your car to at least 3 mechanics, and when at least 2 agree with one same problem, then... you should go ahead and pay for the "fix". Other than that... yes... mechanics will play around with you and your car, cause you know what?!... maybe they don't even know what the problem really is!!!
Beware of these scammers!!!
And good luck finding a honest and descent mechanic!!!!

You make it sound like there aren't many good techs out there.

Your post isn't really clear on the starting problem noise, holding the key? noise?
if you have a Check Engine Light you can retrieve the code.

You might have a ignition switch going bad, but with the multi-problem post the diagnose will get confused.
