Default Speed Sensor Question (1986 Accord with LS/vtec)

Hello all I am in the process of swapping an LS/vtec into a 1986 honda accord. I purchased an ECU of of one of the H-T sponsors and had him put full throttle launch on it. I had my whole sub harness done by jkob and my engine harness by rywire and I am wondering if the signal for the FTL will work with the speed sensor on a cable LS tranny with the non electrical speed sensor. If not can you convert a machanical speed sensor to an electrical one?

i am not sure about the 1986 accord, but i know for a fact that an 88-91 civic has a mechanical cable from the tranny that goes to an electrical one in the gauge cluster, and that is where the ecu reads the VSS signal from.
