FUSES KEEP BLOWING...PLEASE HELP!!
Reciently I had a B20V-TEC dropped in my 94 Integra LS. I put a p30 ecu with a skunk 2 chip. All of the sudden about a week later the gague cluster stopped working, I figured it was a blown fuse (it was)...so I changed it. But, everytime I change it it blows again. If anyone has ever had this problem or one similar to it please help. Or if anyone knows about the electrical aspect of cars please let me know what you think it might be.
yea sounds like one of youre wires is grounding out somewhere? Other than swapping ecus, did you do anything to your indash? if your instrument cluster is out...your dimmer switch is out as well

Yes, if you blow the fuse, it means a hot wire is grounded somewhere.

I had a radio installed they couldnt get any power from the accessory wire so they had to run one from the radio to the ignition. Maybe it might be that wire that they couldnt get any power from...i'll check that in the morning. Thanks alot guys Ill keep you posted.
yeah...if your dash lights doesnt work, your driving lights wont work either. i think those are wired in parallel together. driving at night with no driving lights doesnt seem too safe. hope u get it fixed!
Ok, listen up. I had the exact same problem a couple weeks ago and this is what the problem was.
I was fixing a bad CD player install from the previous owner because he had a botched harness, etc. Anyway, I bought a new harness for my MP3 player and I noticed one of the wires on the new harness had an orange wire that is used in conjunction with the rheostat. For those that don't know, a rheostat is what dims your interior lighting. Anyway, on most CD players, they are not made to work with a rheostat and the wire is left unused.
This was the case in my install and the wire eventually ended up grounding on some metal back in there and I couldn't think of what was happening. Anyway, check all those wires behind the radio and tape off any of them that are not connected to anything. If this doesn't fix your problem, it means you have a ground issue on either the parking lights, back-up lights, or somewhere on the gauge cluster wiring.
I'm 99% sure your problem lies with the radio harness wiring though. Good luck and tell us what it was.

The driving lights and instrument lights work. The only things that dont seem to work are the signals, the temp and fuel gauges, the tach and speedometers, and the clock. I havent been able to find any wire that is grounded (YET!!!) But, i will keep looking. I will check the wire on the radio too see if its grounded somewhere. Thanks a lot for all the help guys.
it could also be a pinched wire within the wire harness. I've had that problem before as well. Similar. Good luck in chasing it down. You may have to pull out your dash in the worst case scenario.....
