Default Tein Basics Problem

Hey, i just got my tein basics installed a few days ago. I'm now getting this realy really loud creaking/popping noise from the back shocks. Whenever i go over a bump and the back compresses, it makes the noise. I think i've determined that it's the dust cover scraping down the threads of the shock. Anybody else have this problem? Anybody know how to fix it? Will i have reliability issues if i just remove the dust cover? Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.
-Chris

No, i bought tein basics. They aren't "coilovers" (coil sleeves), they are actual coilovers which is the whole spring and shock assembly.

yea i had this problem. All u need to do is, trim the dust guards down about a half a inch and it should giv u no problems after that.

Cut the rear Dust boot all the way up, It's about 2inches or so.
No noise at all.

Yow I got some tein basic coilovers and I run on 215/35/18 and my car doesn't make any noise over bumps. I can probably say there is something done wrong. I had that same issue in the front but I got the mechanic to check it and he said it wasn't installed properly.
