Default clutch problem

im going to try and explain this as clearly as possible...
honda clutches are supposed to be long and disengage after a few inches but my clutch disengages AS SOON as i start to release the clutch, almost like there is nothing there. i pump it a few times when im at stop lights or something and after maybe an hour or 2, it starts to regain some pressure. im thinking it could be the pressure plate and/or a new clutch.
any ideas?

has nothing to do with the actual clutch. check your fluids. chances are its low.

This actually is typical of a very worn clutch disc - inlikely at 74,000 or a hydraulic problem. Sometimes a failing clutch master or slave cylinder will exhibit these sysptoms before it totally fails. And clutches never USE fluid. the level goes down as it wears, but it is very minimal. If you have to keep adding fluid, it's leaking.
