Default Pre-salvage yard questions

Hi all. I'm off to the local U-pull-it yard. I've got a 90 CRX DX with D15B2 engine. I'm looking for a ECT unit, radiator fan relay and coolant Temp. guage sending unit. What other Hondas can I get these parts from? Do I need to stick with D15B2 engines or can I get them from any D series? Also, in terms of 4x100 bolt patterns, what year Hondas (and other makes) can I look at for rims? Thanks!

all d series are gonna be the same. actually the obd1 fan switch is different just make sure the plugs are the same. for wheels you can look for integras. if your unsure just take the spare out of a civic there and match it up with the wheels you like.

You better have some big *** wrenches to get that radiator fan relay off the block. I think you need a 27mm wrench for that. You'll need a deep 12mm socket or better yet a ratchet wrench to get the temp sending unit. I had to go back a few times because i didn't have the right tools.

watch out for escorts, they have the right bolt pattern for wheels, but the center hub bore is too small. that can be fixed, but it's not bolt on. vw wheels look nice on our cars, because the offset brings them even with the outside of the car. many bmw wheels would work, but the offset would make them stick out way too far.
