door light.

i was wondering why my interior light dont come on when i open my door?it worked tonight for a few minutes when i would open and close my door then stopped working again?any help would be appreciated.TIA

check the door switch. Sometimes the switch will bind and not slide when the door is opened. I put some oil on mine and it's worked fine for years.
