will a 01+ si remote work for a 99-00 civic for keyless entry?
my friend had a 2004 SI and I have a 96 4 door civic with power locks and I was wondering if I bought one of his remotes off him would it work on my civic or would it have to be a 99-00 civic remote?

Thanks.... but I know how to program it I just don't know if it will work or not just wondering if someone knows from experiance? I guess I'll see if I can try it and if it works I'll let everyone know, but I'm just not sure if I will be able to program the keyless remote becasue of the model year difference?
