So my brother stumbled across this hatch at school. Kid got in trouble with his parents so they made him sell the car. My brother picked this thing up for $5500!!!!!! The kid didn't build it, he only knew it was fast.... had no idea the value of the car. Not much to look at but it's a great start

I really hate to sound ignorant... or an *******. So please don't take it this way. With my disclaimer out the way:

how much is that car worth then? The motor on HMO is $4000... and there isn't too much special about the shell so I'd say it's worth $1000 at most. Plus all the extras (seats, valve cover, cheap wheels, etc.). Call me blind but it doesn't seem like THAT good of a deal. Again, just IMO.

 

idk if it's just me but all the hatches ive seen for sale in texas/dallas area are really exp nowa days. its hard to find a real good deal one.

Ha! Your brother lied to you. That is my friends old hatch. He only sold it cuz he got an S2000. He let it go for so cheap cuz he didn't give a ****. He just had to sell it so get the S2. And just to let you know....the car isn't in the greatest shape, so your bro didn't get that great of a deal. That car has been ragged to **** before it got sold.

those RECARDO's are so much like the Recaros. I didn't even notice it until I saw it again. Just the **** are different and doesn't say Recaro. I like the Recaro's, they fit tight...for me. But anywayz, the car is hot. Good deal for 5500. Tell ur bro not to jerk around too much because he has a Teg engine in it and to drive safe so we can see him do more stuff to his car

 

Not flaming but $5500.00 I think the kid that sold knew exactly what he had. Besides the motor that thing looks pretty ratty. for your bro but I don't think it's a "crazy unheard of deal".

Yea, I really don't think the car is worth even 5K....but then again, I know what has been done and what hasn't been done with it. It was seriously beat to ****......kid had it for a year, never changed anything once....oil, plugs, anything.
