Default Dumb question about coilovers?

I don't know much about coilovers but I had this question - Let's say I install a set of coilovers and set the ride height to where I want it in the summer and get an alinement and then decide to raise the car an inch or so in the winter, do I need another alinement? (sorry about the crappy spelling). The reason that I ask is I have wanted to get the prokit/koni yellow combo and then I heard someone say that the Tien SS coilovers were very close in price. Is this true? Thanks for the help.

you could probably get the tein's for a little more... 1-200 probably... every time you alter the height of your car you "need" an alignment... which would include adjusting camber... meaning you also need to invest in a set of camber kits.

For little more money, I would definitely get the Tein. It is much better than the sleeve coilover. And yes, you should go get an alingment everytime you change the ride height. But you can probably get away with it if you just change the height by a inch or so and you just drive your car on the street.

The SS' come in at an awesome price along with great features. We've had tons of inquiries about them recently.

The Pro-Kit/Koni combo is going to be a good deal cheaper. Like Mafay says, you *should* get an alignment with every height change, but minimal changes shouldnt cause any problems.

I love the fact that every moderator on here has something to sell.

The Tein SS re what replaced my Skunk 2 tokico illumina combo. Good ride, I recently raised the car a half an inch and did not get an alignment.

Just had a quick question to add to this, maybe Nick can help out on this. The guy at my local shop pushes the Apex'i World Sport Damper system. Now that is a full coilover system like this Tein SS (I haven't read anything on this or heard much about it). How does the Apex'i WS damper system compare with a regular strut/spring setup?
