I have a brand new pair of Parada spec2s that are just over a week old. I was looking at my rear tire last night and I noticed a nail in my rear tire. It's not a big nail but a nail just the same. I have repaired tires on my dad's truck with the tire repair kits you get at the parts store and I'm curious if I can patch up this tire the same way.

If anyone knows much about this tire or has repaired one before, please chime in and let me know how it can be done.

Sure, it's just like any other tire used on the street. As long as the puncture is in the width of the tread, and not on the shoulder or sidewall, you can repair punctures with a plug, with a patch, or with a combination plug-patch.

You'll want to re-balance the tire when you're done, so unless you have tire balancing equipment, you're better off paying someone $10-25 to do this...

 

Thanks. I haven't pulled the nail yet so I may be lucky and it not have punctured the tire. The nail is in at an angle and it is on the tread of the tire and not the sidewall. I just don't know much about how the Paradas are put together and didn't want to really mess something up.
