Exhaust troubles
I recently purchased an Apexi ws2 for my '96 prelude si (h23). When I recieved the package it was for the '92-'96 lude with the h22. This shouldn't make any difference with the under carriage because it's the same car, only the engine is different. However the exhaust is not fitting, and I tried installation before reading the packing slip to see it was for the h22. I just checked the online site where it was purchased, and reading their policy I am pretty sure they won't take it back. On the site it only said the exhaust was for the '92-'96 lude, but didn't specify vtec or not. The problem seems to be the exhaust is a little short, the piping runs a little too close the the underbody heat shield near the cat, and worst of all the piping just before the muffler can is hitting my rear sway bar. Has anybody made the same mistake, and come up with a solution? Best ideas on what I should do? Right now every hanger lines up perfect and the overall fitment isn't bad at all, including the position of the muffler looking from the rear. My main concern is the space the piping and the sway bar are fitting for. If I am screwed on the return, I'm considering clearancing some of the piping to make room and avoid contact. Help!
I personally don't ever remember seeing an seperate exhaust for the different motors. I know because I've spent the last week looking. I went to the Apexi N1, and it only showed 1 for 92-96, hope I don't have the same problem - it arrives today.
h22 and h23 exhausts are IDENTICAL. when i ordered mine, the packaging said the exact same thing. you should have no problem. make sure you dont have the 'z' looking piece backwards.

Well haven't put it on because I think I might have another issue. I forgot that Apexi does that angle thing with their tail pipes and therefore I'm not sure the tailpipe is going to clear my bodykit. AS for the exhaust the paperwork says it's for either engine.
