Default Wiring issue with Z6 in 94 CX.

I need some help with this one....

I can not get my parking lights, tail lights, guage lights, or gas guage to work.
My blinkers work front and back, brake lights work fine as well.

All fuses are good, and in the right spots, and all bulbs are new. My guage brightness dial is all the way up.

Sometimes when I'm driving with the lights on, my guages will come on and stay on until i turn the car off... they don't flash or anything.

Anything will help with this one.

weird maybe its a relay? sorry im low on answers

does the license plate light go on?

also does the engine coolant temp gauge work?

even if fuse 19 looks ok replace it with another 10amp fuse. it really sounds like thats the problem. just remember that its fuse 19 in the underdash fuse box

Alright, I will give that a try. I will have to check the license plate lights tho.

I changed out my #19 fuse, and it did nothing. My license plate lights do not come on either. Also, my coolant guage does work.

Anyone have any knowledge of this?

youve got to have a bad wire. everything on that list goes through that one fuse.

does your engine temp gauge work? or are there any other electrical quirks? im going to have to look stuff up in the manual when im awake.

Yeah, my temp guage works fine. I'm going to swap a relay tomorrow, but other than that Im stuck... Everything went out at once so I'm guessing it's something to do with that relay.

wow weird.... obviously something is wrong with your electric system. i have a feeling its probably just something small and stupid. are there any wires or anything that might be causing a short?

you might want to start a new thread if nobody else responds and put in the the title "code 20"

what the car is doing is definitely really fishy..

i can almost gaurantee you that it's a missed ground somewhere. Check around the kick panels for any stray wires that need to be grounded or any connectors that were missed.

My battery was bad... Almost like it was draining my electrical system and causing that CEL 20. When I first started working on my car the battery had a voltage of 11.9, so I never thought twice about it... but turns out that it was slowly dying, so I just replaced it, and all of my lights work, and my CEL went away. Thanks for the help
