Save your money. These things have been around since forever in one incarnation or another.
Believe me, you'll get more "milage" if you spend that money on your "significant other"

Doubt it completely. These things are marketed by the modern day equivilent of P.T. Barnum ("a suckers' born every day").
Wouldn't it stand to reason (considering what we know about corporate bean counters) that if these things ACTUALLY worked, the manufacturers would have incorporated the theory into their intake systems and realized 35 free horsepower???
Just like any "untruth" out there, these things are often based on valid practices.
This ones' based of techniques developed by (co-incidently) Honda (the CVCC engine) and GM's Vortec series. But these applications were in combustion chamber / valve angle / and qwench area developements to improve flame propagation (complete fuel burn) by forcing the intake fuel charge to swirl into the combustion chamber.
If I remember correctly, the CVCC engine was the first of the "smogger" motors which didn't need a catalytic converter (under the initial EPA rules) and that was with a carburetor!! Quite an accomplishment.

thse kind of things would work if they were placed behind the throttle body....having a cyclone effect on the intake charge WILL lead to better performance....but the throttle body is a HUGE obstacle for air, and the flow will be disrupted by it
