Default I LOVE the junkyard. And some questions!

Found a riced out little CRX with all sorts of goodies on it. Ended up getting an RS-R exhaust (don't know which kind... if I took a picture, would someone know? It has an intercooled tip if that helps) for $7.83. Also the rear disc brake trailing arms are all intact and I'm going to try to get them on Sunday.

Anyhoo, did we ever figure out if the CRX axle back exhaust will fit a sedan? I'm sure it won't be a problem to my exhaust guy, but I was just curious.

Also, this car has a rear swaybar on it... does anyone want it? I'm not going to waste my time on it if no one cares for it. I'll sell it for the cost I pay for it and shipping.

And how does an RS-R sound?

THANKS!

Hmm... did a little looking around. The exhaust I have doesn't look like any of the RS-R exhausts I've seen... it's transverse mounted like the stock muffler is (which is what I'm looking for anyway).

Dammit.

Yeah, I'm going to do my best. I was pretty pessimistic of ANY of it still being there, so I didn't bring what I needed to bring to get them off. Hopefully that will still be there on Sunday... and if not, I already have what I want. I gots me some rear arms already.

Yeah i hate when you go to the junkyard unprepared. Their is a civic ex in the junkyard near me, and i didn't have the cash to get the prized front brake conversion. I pulled the front disk brake setup off it and hid them to either use on my car or to sell.

The ExMag is a bullet-style canister exhaust, right? Like this:

The one I have is not powdercoated black, but is all polished stainless and mounted like the stock exhaust. Muffler is sideways, tip comes out and makes a ninety degree turn to exit the car.

Yeah, it was an Si. The seats were crap, with the driver's side bolster being all ripped up like some of them are. But some one took them anyway. The interior was ****.

But I got the trailing arms! Everything except calipers... some ******** already got to those. Trailing arms, rear sway bar with ALL hardware... $56.00. Fantastic. So, I got the rear trailing arms minus calipers, an RS-R catback, the rear sway bar with all hardware and a PM6 computer for a little over $80.

I love junkyards.

You might have scored the RS-R, because for the CRX, it DOES have a transverse (stock-style) mounted muffler. The tip, however, is just like the one in the pic you posted. I have some pics of an RS-R on a CRX if you need them to compare.

if it is the RS-R ExMag I have it on my CRX and love it. I found perfect floormats for $5 each at the junkyard a few weeks ago.

Here it is after 10 minutes of cleaning...

Might try to make it work on my sedan. After comparing the two, it looks like the tailpipe that comes off the muffler is shorter on the CRX muffler but the part that goes over the axle looks to be the same.
