Prelude Type SH
OKay who knows about this ATTS system? I want to install a type sh motor in my accord but I do NOT want to mess with ATTS, it is integral in the motor? or can I just pitch the atts unit and drop the h bomb in
I beleive the ATTS is the electronic diff in preludes...if you do a motor swap I heard it is big headaches due to the fact that the lude's computer is tied in to the diff in the tranny, so swapping a H22 (from a lude type S) and using your stock F23 trans you would have major headaches...someone correct me if I am wrong..thanks

ATTS is located inside the tranny not the motor. The ATTS is connected to a bunch of sensors (g sensor, lateral...) in order to work right.Type SH block with base tranny is possible. Check out Prelude FAQ!

ATTS is a seperate unit from the tranny. its attached to the back of SH and type-s motors, in place of the intermediate shaft found on other F and H motors. since the ATTS and intermediate shaft have different bolt patterns, an SH or type-s motor requires and adapter plate (not sure where to buy these) so you can bolt on an intermediate shaft to power your axles. so, yes you can drop in an SH motor, but the adaptor plate must be used to fit accord/prelude axles. the JDM si-r prelude had the lsd tranny, you should go for that if you can. accord gears don't match well with a H22 motor, trust me i've tried it and its way slower. ok now i'm done rambling on...
