Default Anyone interested in a '01 Civic Coupe EX?

I never noticed before that there 's no forum for g7 Civics until now. I know there 's other dedicated g7 forums but I was surprised there 's nothing here.

Anyway, I have a blue 2001 Civic Coupe EX 5-sp. which I 'll be putting up for sale soon. I 'm the first owner. I was wondering how much interest I could generate here and some advice about how much my car is worth. I know it's worth what I can get for it but I have the luxury of waiting..

The car has 156k mi. on it, 99.5% highway miles. My commute is 160mi./day from NY to NJ round trip.
The car has hail damage from a freak hail storm 2yrs ago that lasted about 1min. and only hit a small part of town where I work (NJ). It doesn't look too bad, just a lot of dings on the hood, roof and trunk lid. Only a couple of dings on the side on top of the doors, near the windows. I think if the hood and trunk lid were replaced, you 'd barely notice the dings on the roof because half the roof is taken up by the sunroof. It also has a rear bumper damage from a jerk that hit me in the back passenger side. It's only the bumper shell that needs to be replaced or you can leave it and drive like that like I have for over a year. Nothing else is damaged. The car runs excellent and doesn't burn any oil. Nothing mechanically wrong with it but it could probably use front shocks. I think it would easily last another 100k mi. before a head gasket or something major goes. I 'll try and take some pics of it soon if anyone is interested or I can meet you in Southern NY/Northern Jersy.

Just wondering how much you guys would ask for it. It's a very realiable car and comfortable commuter car with many standard options and amenities, like: A/C, CD player, 4-wheel ABS, one touch power windows, Power door locks, cruise, remote keyless entry, power moonroof, etc.
The way I see it right now is I took the Kelley Blue book private sale for "fair" condition (won't give you a price on "poor") which is $5,810 and subtracted at least $1500 for a hood, trunk lid and bumper cover. So I 'll probably be asking $4-4,300. Any ideas, comments? thanks

Edit: Forgot to mention, the car gets excellent gas mileage very close to when it was new. 36-39mpg if driven normal, almost grandma like, and 34-36 with spirited driving. If you have a lead foot you probably won't get more than 32/33mpg. I 've owned 2 previous gen Civics and this one is by far the fastest one and most fuel efficient. Much torquier than the other gens too. I do take it easy with the car and baby it because it's my commuter car over long distances and I don't race it. I can't afford to with these high gas prices. Just the other day I got 36.8mpg with the A/C on all the time averaging 73-74mph (mostly 65mph speed limit on the highways I use) using the cruise control.

I would say you could probably still get 3,500 - 4,000 for it. Most people frown
on damage to body panels and or the high mileage, but if most were highway
miles you should be able to find a buyer willing to pay that for a gas efficient
vehicle.(that should be a great selling point). Advertise it and see if you get interest
in it and go from there i guess.

Yeah that's what I figured, and the car actually doesn't look bad. It's a good looking coupe and runs almost like new. No power loss since I bought it and still purrs like new.
The dings are small and not deep. You can't tell they're all over the hood and trunk lid until you 're about 6-8ft away and even then you have to get even closer to figure out what they are.

I am sure some kid would get their parents to buy it for them.
