Most HP gains without opening the engine?
I own a stock y2005 s2000: I am interested in getting some more power out of it without opening up the engine and without blowing it (Super Charger, Turbo, or nitrous).
Any ideas?

Air intake, headers, high flow cat, exhaust I just got my invidia and I love it, using dc 4-2-1 headers as well, injen cai, just need a nice high flow cat now. but other then that there aint much u can do without opening up the engine. my next purchase is going to be some nice cams, and retainers, pistons, springs all those nice toys, if you do open up the engine, get everything that you need done in that day that its open so you dont have to keep going back for trips to the shop, days without the car, and all that sh*t
Only thing I can think of would be to gut it? You aren't going to get much power just messing with what is outside the motor. Do you really NEED air conditioning?
You know whats funny...i know a way to get more out of your car without even touching your car. Go get some professional driving time in...learn how to properly drive the car. I watched a few weekends back a HIGHLY built S2000 get walked all over an autocross course by a relatively stock Miata because the guy in the S2000 didnt know how to drive really at all (except for what he thought was cool street racing wins) and the guy in the Miata was a seasoned veteran. He walked his *** around that course, with a MUCH slower car.
Get some driving school in...learn how to push your car to its potential. You'll get alot more out of that then you would with any of the cheap bolts ons available for the car.

can you guys stop being jerks and just answer the guy's questions. i know we see the same stuff every week. either answer it or post a link to a previous post answering the quesiton. theres no point in giving false info, the guy in the other post actually believed the crap about the tornado and wanted to buy it for his car.

Agreed,+ ITB's and lots of tuning. Also, gut it. Remove everything that you don't find necessary like a/c, passenger seat, spare tire, jack, tool kit, stereo, etc.
Shaving weight is probably going to have a big effect on performance as well. Once you are done with the above mods, consider a front big brake kit(approx. 30 lbs savings), replacing your seats with lightweight racing buckets, swapping the stock wheels for a set of Volk CE28Ns and some carbon fiber body parts. By now, you would have probably spent about $50k on your S2000 so maybe you should have just bougt a Corvette Z06 if you really wanted a faster car.
