I've been looking at rear cargo covers on ebay and none of them seem to have a spot to put speakers.. What exactly do I need to do to drop my 6.5s in there?

 

cut out the section where u want ur speaker to be placed and mount it

 

Cut them and make a bracket out of sheet metal. It might take a little time and patience, but it isn't that hard. I did it in my 88 Hatch STD. She didn't come with rear speakers at all, and this helped me start a somewhat-stock look and keep the rear cargo area covered for my subs and amp.

 

Mmm, I figured. Can I just cut and mount without doing any sheet metal?

 

You could, but I would be careful based on the material the cover is made of. Mine is fiberglass, and I used 6x9s, so the extra weight needed support.
