Default head work or equal length manifold?

would you get your head ported and polished or get an equal length manifold?

i dont have the money for both and i was wondering which you thought would give the most gains?

thanks, vernon

headwork .. get it done once n forget about it . manifolds are easy to change later on.

yeah that is true, but how much does it really help? would the gains be very noticable or are they mild? any dyno charts of before and after, i've seen before and after on log style manifolds and equal length and i know that they make a difference.

let me know, thanks vernon

just like how all manifolds arent created equal, depending upon who ports or does a valve job on your head can make a big difference.
also it depends upon what level of work you are doing.

a good valve job can give you some good power up top. a well ported head with a good intake manifold and matching throttle body will allow you to rev to a higher rpm and still have a flatish trq curve.
