Default Edelbrock Manifold removal questions out of EM1

I was needing to remove my edelbrock victor x intake manifold out of my 2000 Si, to work on my catch can setup and a few other things. My question is, is there enough room for me to just unbolt it and pull it out, or will it hit the firewall. I dont know because it was already on when we dropped the motor in my car. My main concern is that i wont have enough room to get it off the studs. Anyone?

I have had to remove the Performer x intake manifold (longer runners than victor x) from my D16 on several occasions. The only problem I ran into was getting it passed the master cylinder and the fuel filter. I kinda had to 'wiggle' it down into place at an angle.

I realize we are talking about a B16 vs. D16 and a Victor x vs. Performer x, but it should be comperable in terms of firewall clearance! - It is a squeeze, but you should be alright

Yeah..im thinking it will be a really tight squeeze, but just wanted to know for sure before i go to pull it off...because then i might need to replace the gasket, and if i cant get it out of there, im gonna get mad really quick

The Victor X is a piece of cake...plenty of room to just pull out.

If you want a visual - Check out page 4 of my cardomain page (below) - second picture - and see if your manifold is as close to the firewall as mine appears - If it looks like you have more room than me, you should be good to go!

Hope that helps and gives you some assurance

Ps FYI I'd replace the gasket anytime you remove a manifold!
