Buying an LS Teg
I'm wondering how much potential the B18B1 has in its N/A form. I'm looking to stay N/A, I'm an all motor type of guy. Or would it just be cheaper to swap in a B18C1 with a 5 speed conversion? Thats right I have an automatic, is there any aftermaket for the autos?
Thanks Guys

Obviously there are still mods for the auto, its just a transmission for gods sake! If I were you I would swap in the b18c with the 5spd.</TD></TR></TABLE>
You'll get more bang for your buck this way.
If you spent the money on the tranny swap, you could ofe put the money to the b18c1 swap.
just my .02 cents

what are you goals for the car?? What do you want to do with it.
I have an LS and I have been very happy with it, I will be even happier after i get my cams and everything all installed and tuned.
If you are not going to race you could stick with the B and just do some minor mods to free up some power.

Mid to low 14's N/A. I'm staying auto if I keep the B18B. I would probably get a stall converter for the tranny. LSD. Any shift kits or shift enhancers out there for the autos?

Honestly, I don't think it's even possible to stay N/A on an automatic B18B and get low 14's. It's tough even with a 5-speed with that motor, which is what you should do if you want to modify the car. Having a 5-speed alone will drop a full second off your ET's (from mid/high 16's to mid/high 15's).

I was in a similar situation before, trust me dude it would be cheaper to just find a car that already was 5speed instead of dumping a bunch of money into auto N/A
However, if you do plan on spending quite a bit of money, you may want to consider K-series. K is the future bar none. One day everyone will have to accept it. Inevitibility is a bitch

Everyone knows this already, most people are waiting for the swap to be more readily available and cheaper. Which will happen in the following years, after more idiots wreck their RSX's and EP3's.
