Default HELP:99-00 conversion onto 96-98 core support

ok so just recently i did a 99-00 honda civic front end conversion onto my 96-98 hatch.

the thing im having a bit of trouble with is the bumper. everything else lined up nicely and perfect.

when i get to the bumper it doesnt sit quite right. it doesnt wrap right either. i have to like force it into place.

now the only things i did do was rip off was where the wholes are on the bumper where the grill sits. kinda like this.

```\__GRILLE__/```
``` = where the holes go onto the core support to give it extra support for the bumper.

now im currently using an aftermarket front bumper and grille, and this is where the problems occur. i have not yet tried using an OEM front bumper, and well, im not even sure if this will fix the problem. so should i try using an OEM front bumper/grille or it doesnt matter?

well if any other info is needed please let me know. if not any help is appreciated. thank you.

I had a similar problem when I installed mine but found that the tab where the grill and the bumper meet was hitting the core support where the 98 bumper used to clip, I took a dremel ti the back of the bumper where i could see it was rubbing and it went right on...Hope that helps

I just read my own post and didnt make since......So basically what you were asking if you should pull off or cut in your diagram, just leave that there and trim the bumper where that rubs.

for me since i praticaly used all after market parts was about 120-200 bucks.

but to be honest i would go with OEM. everything will fit better and you wont have as much hassle.

thanx force. yea im guessing thats the problem ima buy an OEM front bumper today and see how that goes. well we'll see what happens.
