diffierence in f22a1 and f22b1??

diffierence in f22a1 and f22b1??

i have tried searching and have got nontheig on the subject. Can anyone tell me the main differences in the 2? i have a guy giving me a f22a1. i have a 95 accord ex with the f22b1 and as it is turbe i plan on chunking some stuff and hoping this other engine will interchange. thanks

The f22a1 is from an older car... stock for stock you are looking at a loss of power, i would stick with the f22b1

The A1 is non Vtec the B1 is Vtec. Both SOHC. Your manifold won't fit on the A1 because it's exhaust ports are like this O O O O. and the B1 is like O OO O. The b1 has like 15 more hp at the crank but weighs like 15 pounds more.
