this is a jdm h22a complete long block only (no transmission or ecu). 200 hp/161 ft. lbs/10:1 CR. it has roughly 60k miles on it. it's equipped with the throttle body, intake manifold, fuel rail/injectors, head/block, exhaust manifold, distributor, alternator, plugs/wires, crank pulley, misc sensors. it has a brand new timing belt, auto tensioner, and water pump on it. it needs a starter if you're planning on running a manual transmission with it. if running an automatic, i have the starter available and will include it. power steering pump not included, a/c compressor not included.

the problem: mis-shifted while racing at the strip a couple months ago.. overreved the motor and suspect that i bent a few valves in the head. there is no compression/firing in cylinder #4 only. all other 3 cylinders checked out at 180 psi + ... so my guess is only the valves for that cylinder. if so, a new set of 16 oem valves shouldn't cost much more than $100 from majestic honda.. and then new head studs and a head gasket will most likely be needed after removing the head for the valve replacement process. i'm guessing for an extra $2-300, this engine can be in great shape again.

this engine would be a good buy for anyone requiring a cheap h22a motor in order to perform a race build-up or anyone simply wanting to swap to h22a for cheap, learn about the internals, and ultimately have a revamped and reliable dohc vtec engine. keep in mind that you can use the f-series manual transmission with this motor. that would be especially good in the case that you're planning a turbo setup and need the longer gearing.
