well... do you want to be able to set the ride hieght or just get it lowerd?

with springs it will just drop, with coilovers you can adjust the hieght.

so as an answer i would sugest coilovers.

The point of coilovers is to get a balanced car (weight in corners) not JUST to be able to adjust height .

Depends on what you want to do with it.

Height ajustable threaded coilovers are great IF you're roadracing, have access to an alignment rack and scales to corner-balance it.

Otherwise, for daily driving, a nice set of lowering springs and aftermarket dampers will do. Adjustable damping if you've got a little more cash if you want to fine-tune your ride vs. handling.

My $0.02.
