Default ZC hoods

What is the reasoning behind the driver side hump in the ZC hood???

Imagine if u had a B-series swap like a b18 or b20 and u have a original OEM hood on , when you take off while racing and rev up high u'll probably notice a little scratch or bump on where the head is and thats where you valve cover hits, from what i know

Its to clear the timing belt cover on the ZC since it bulges up on stock hoods.

True that. If you want to be baller you could always go for the Sir hood that cowls out it clears most of it also.

Yup, the hump is there to clear the timing belt cover. Anyone ever notice that dsm's have a hump too like the zc hood?

anyone know where i can get an sir hood for my 89 crx with sohc zx. my hood doesn't always open properly, and i notice a little scratching on the underneath. i'd really like one, and they look great. any links would be appreciated, thanks

You would need the front end conversion.
