O2 sensor code is on bad or good???????????????????????????????????????
i have a 96 ek and its throwing a code its the o2 sensor but which one is it.the one before or after the cat converter?? do i need to change it right away or can i drive the car perfectly fine without changing it, and will it mess anything up???????

There are two different CEL for your OBD2 ECU. So when you have the code,you can see which oxygen sensor it is. From what I understand the secondary oxygen sensor is used primarily to tell you if your cat is still working.

ok but will it effect anything at all to my motor. this is my daily driver and it needs to be reliable.
i went to autozone and its gonna cost me like 250 for the o2 sensor before the cat. i was wondering if i should buy the other one and splice the wires and connect them myself?

what the ****? you can google "4 wire o2 sensor" and get tons of prices less than that. Bosch universal is 50 bucks and you just splice, reconnect, and plug it back in.

secondary will not affect perfromance as far as I have expereinced. I drove on no secondary O2 for the longest time. My gas mileage wasnt affected and neither was perfromance

im driving with both of my o2 sensors disconnected and i have a test pipe. the baby runs like it did with them in.... though you mine as well fix them if u have emissions like me....
