Default Intermittent rear wiper in a 92-95 hatch? Does it exist?

Ok. I vaguely remember seeing a rear wiper switch that was intermittent, and I have heard that some 92-95 hatches had an intermittent rear wiper. My 92 is one speed: fast. If this does in fact exist, what did it come on, and how hard would it be to retrofit in? Thanks

P.S. I searched, didn't find a definite answer to whether or not they exist.

No, not for EG's. Not sure about other gens, but I doubt it.

If that's the case, does anyone happen to know of any other vehicles that use the same type of wiper controls that the civic and integra do? And if there is one, is the function in the switch, or is there a relay like for the front. I'm seriously sick of having to turn the wipers on and off because there's no slow setting.

Myself being a fellow EG hatchback owner know exactly how you feel. Theres never enough water on the hatch glass to warrant the high speed of the rear wiper. I would have preferred a inter. switch only on the rear wiper.

Ok.... so if it doesn't exist, any suggestions on how I might go about making one? Has anyone studied the intermittent relay for the front wipers to determine if it could be modified to work on the rear wiper? You'd think with all the little optional goodies from various countries (power side mirrors, heated mirrors, rear foglights, etc.) that they'd have put an intermittent rear wiper on some car, somewhere that would work for an EG/EH.

Does anyone happen to know of any other Hondas/Acuras that do have intermittent rear wipers and use the same switch as a Civic? Possibly an Accord?

I don't see how this helps at all. What's so hard about keeping things civil?

you need the intermittent wiper stock from 96 and up civic.
the ICU = integrated control unit. it located behind the under dash fuses box. this unit have the relay control the intermittent wiper built in.
when you got these parts then it just plug and play you don't even have to remove the steering wheel at all.

I tracked one down that was the same length at Advance and just slid it in. It was a lot cheaper than Honda.

OK... Let me see if I'm understanding this correctly. There is a control module that controls the Intermittent wiper function for the rear that I can switch out and have an intermittent rear wiper. First question that comes to mind is what do I use for a switch? All I have now is off and fast. I'd think you would need a switch with a different setting to make it work. Where do I get the switch I'd need, or do I even need one?

I'm sorry if that was clear to everyone else. I haven't had the occasion to see the wiper switch for a 96 and up Civic, so I was not aware if it was the same as the one from a 92-95. I am going to guess that only hatches in 96 and up Civics had a rear wiper. Is this correct?

No, the EG's came with a rear wiper, just no inter. switch. Just go to a junkyard and rip one out of an EK hatch and get all the connections. At least that is what I have understood from the previous posts.

If that's the case, I won't have any problem fetching up those parts. I'd just like to have more than a rough guess as to the parts that are needed. Can anyone here say without a doubt what parts from an EK hatch are needed to make this work?
