starting up problem?
Alright....i don't think i'm alone on this....but it seems to me that a lot of honda's in general have this problem...not just one.............i'd like to know what the cause is when u start the car and it runs for about a second or so...then dies out....and when u go to start it again.....it just cranks and doesn't start at all.....now......i noticed that it doesn't start again because there is no fuel rail pressure...and u have to key-up and let it prime.......ok!.......but the other half of the problem is when u go to do so...the pump doesn't always turn on to prime the rail.....u sometimes have to let the car sit for a bit......(sometimes a few seconds some times a few minutes).....and then the fuel rail will prime and the car starts........but it'll stall out again if u don't keep the rev's up for a few seconds..........i know this is a long artical...but if anyone can tell me what the hell is going on...it would be helpfull...cause it does this on both my 90 prelude sr and my 90 zc civic hatch!....
Thank u!
Thank u!
Okai buddy. Your problem is simple. Its called ur main relay. I had this same problems. Its located to the left < far left> of ur fuses under ur steering wheel. In order to get to it you have to remove that change holder pocket thing on ur left under ur vent for ur heater. Its a big relay. Basically straight above ur hood latch. But underneath the plastic. It says Mistubishi or something like that on the plastic casing. bring that to a Honda dealer ship, pay like 40 dollars. And ur ready to go.
