Default Anyone ever heard of NEX Coilovers?

I saw these on Ebay for $500 brand new and was wondering if they were any good. I know Tein is the best, but these are $200 cheaper than their entry level set. If anyone has them, or knows someone who does, tell me what you think. Thanks for the help.

Never heard of them. Tein's are good, but there are better. I'd get a set of GC's for around $300-330 if you're looking to save some money.

They've been around for a while... I once rode in an Accord that had them. From what I remember, the spring rates are VERY stiff. Too stiff for street applications in my opinion. The owner said that he had installed them a couple years prior, and hasn't had any problems with them. He tracked his car occasionally, which is why he didn't mind the spring rates.

Spend the extra money, and get something you know will last.

I'm riding on Tein coilovers right now, and I can't complain. You would think you would lose some ride comfort with the upgrade, but none whatsoever. It's actually nicer than stock, IMO.

Thanks for all the advice. What Tein setup do you have, Basic or SS? Also, ever hear of Ksport?

I have a set on my accord wagon right now and my advice to any and everyone who considers these coilovers is DON'T!!!!!!! After I first installed them back in 10/2003 they were stiff and wonderful. I'd say about a year later my car was doing the bank-head bounce after every bump. They did not last and are definetly not worth the money. I mean I seriously feel like I have hydrolics after I hit a bump, it just keeps bouncing and bouncing and bouncing, it's rediculous. I'm looking into a set of tein's myself. I personally don't mind the stiff ride. It's actually what I'd prefer but NEX is some crap!!!

Basics.

Figured I didn't need the dampening adjustability because my car will hardly ever see the track.

I have, but I can't give any opinions on them because I don't know anyone that has them.

Word on the street is that they are very similar to D2s.

Thanks for all the advice. Looks like I'm going with Tein Basics. I don't plan on tracking my accord either. Glad I didn't go ahead and buy the Nex set.

If you look around, you can find the Teins for just under $700 shipped (mainly sponsors on this board).

I got mine from ProStreetOnline for $660 shipped when they had a small sale going on.
