I just finished up my auto to manual conversion on my 91 dx rex. My speedo cable doesnt seem to work with my 89 si tranny. On the auto dx tranny it was notched & there was a "jesus" clip to old it in. Well the cale wont seem to go far enough down into the tranny. Im wondering if the speedo that was in the new tranny is broken off inside. There seems to be a plate on top of where the cable goes. Can that be removed? Any help would be great. Thanks
