Have 87 in gas tank, what to put in to get the 4 ga. into 93 oct? Cheapest way also LOL
Gonna start up my k20 this weekend, and the last gas i had was like 4 gallons thats 4 months old, in the gas tank, it was 87 octane. Does gas go bad BTW?
Just disconnect the fuel filter feed and put it to a bucket or something and let the fuel pump pump out the fuel.

Just run it like it is, drive it to the gas station and put some 93 in. Unless you are worried about water being in there, then its a whole different story. Gas does lose octane with age but im not sure how much or under what conditions.
toluene is basically paint thinner, you can get it at any place that sells paint supplies.

i would just put direct power to the pump and it will empty the tank very quickly into a bucket
take out the fuel return line from the other end of the fuel rail. Start the motor.
i kinda was in the same situation before. Toulene can **** up O2 sensors and ****. Plus its very expensive and hard to find. Sherwin Williams prolly has it. Its literally easier to climb under the ****** and just drain it.
Its all good , just gonna buy some 110 oct and pour some in. LOL Thanks for the advice though guys.
thats why i would do , get a 5gallon drum of some 100 or whatever you choose octane....gas sitting for 4 months isnt **** , my car say for 7 months and started and ran like a champ when i got back.

spend money on gas or spend money on an engine... your choice...
I'd dump 2-3 gallons of 100 in for good measure. Maybe a half bottle of octane booster if you're really worried about it

Just go buy some 100 - 110 octane gas. The mix of 87 + 100 or 110, will make the octane of the gas over 93. So you will be fine.

Hes saying that the fuel cools the pumps motor like a sump pump.
