I have a 90-91 CRX Si tranny that I pulled that wouldn't shift in any gears. Its been sitting outside (i know
). And its gotten water in it.
Is it safe to just put oil in it and go or do I need to put any type of treatment in it to be safe??

sorry I should have stated. I will be opening it up over winter, doh. If i find parts rusted what shoudl be done with them? this will be my first time pulling a tranny apart. Learning experience.

well what i would do is open it up, if its rusted and the gears are all messed up, yes disregard those parts.
If the casing is still good, i say keep it and do a hybrid tranny.
