the 50 shot should be good as long as you have extra fuel to accomodate it... is it a wet kit? if it is then youre fine... a dry kit would require some other means of getting more fuel into the motor

what type of racing will you be doing?
u will be fine with a 50 shot on ur stock motor...just dont spray out of the hole if u are drag racing...dont miss shifts...dont over rev ur motor....dont hit ur rev limiter and u should be fine

ok i found out that for a dry kit to be safe id have to retard my timing, cooler spark plugs, premium or better gas, and increase my fuel, so all this= not worth it for one weekend from what i understand.... does anyone here think im right lol

the key to nos longevity is a good fuel system and tuning, setting the timing back and colder plugs can be good ideas if necessary. i would recommend if going with a dry setup on a sohc 1.6 starting w./a small jet (nos tech line can recommend, and they are cool there) and woking up to the prospective jet they recommend. on my '86 civic w./b16 i used a .036 jet -2 deg timing a 1 step colder plugs, bcpre7's i think. that equated to @ 125 shot i believe, tons of fun in that little car 13.6 @105

Hmm colder spark plugs and retarded timing. Any engine can hold a 50 shot of nos if prepared right and used CORRECTLY.

I would say no if you don't have the means of getting more fuel.

nitrous is all good , just be conservative. Be careful of your friend installing it , if he is like me he will try to sneek in a bigger jet for more power
