I only see it in 5w30 in full-syn. That's what I use. The 10w-30 is a part-syn mix.

Not recommended by whom?
From the Owner's Manual

It also says that you should use 5w-40 if you live in a climate that reaches -20 degrees F, but 10w-30 is recommended.

Well, it was my understanding that if you tracked your car a 40 wt. would be better oil to go with. I do track days so I go with 5w-40. Nothing wrong with 10w-30.

hey, i was going to buy the oil and filter to do it my self,, but the oil is like $32 for 6 quarts, + $20 the filter, like $55 for both, i think i just going to take it to the HOnda dealer, any one know how much it is at the dealer?
That .1 quart extra always pissed me off when I changed oil.
I always used 10w30 m1. In Dallas, it's only cold for like 25 minutes a year, so I didn't figure 5w30 was ever nessissary. Any syn 10w or 5w 30 will do in my opinion. Also, if you road race, especially in hot weather, I've heard that changing to 20w50 for the event is a good idea. (Thats just hear-say from me though, I've never actually switched to that. Although I will be running it in my Civic next summer)
