Default Ride Height Problem

I just bought a 89 sedan, and I want to lower it with a spring strut setup. Although, I have just noticed the car is saging on the front drivers side about 1/2 inch, but the car has never been wrecked. Do you think it could be just a shot strut or spring. Has anyone else came across this problem? I really don't want to go with a coilover, but I also don't want to buy springs and still have the same problem. I'm pretty crazy when it comes to my ride height! Thanks!
