i have this problem for 2 months

error code 22 , vtec pressure valve

vtec kicks in and out at high speeds

checked the oil - > enough
opened the valve - > it's all clean and ok inside of it
check the power on cables -> ok

on the first gear it kick ok i can say , but in the 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 gear , almost no vtec

mecanic says i need a new vtec pressure valve ( entire solenoid )

I'm thinking your mechanic is correct.

what can it be broken inside the valve ? or not working properly ?

it's true that the piece has 14 years old , but sounds strage ...

anyone changed the valve because the original was not good and it worked ?

If you use a VAFC the wires could be not hooked up correctly/shorted.

Even if you dont the wiring could be jacked. Or it could actually be correct and el pressure valve could be shot.
