Projectors?

IMO they suck *** for a few reasons:

1. I hate the way they look
2. They do not always fit right
3. They don't light up the road worth a damn

I had projectors on my 1992 Si HB back in 1997 (they were a gift and I thought they looked "tight" so I put them in) and honestly they sucked at lighting the road. My stocks do a much better job.

...now if you're the type of person who doesn't mind doing a lot of work and spending some good money for better lighting, then HID retro kits fitted inside a good projector-type housing is a bad-*** way to upgrade lighting. JDMlifeStyle does the **** right, and the end result is bad-***. He also uses HID stuff to though, not your run-of-the-mill projector headlight kits.

Those "shark eyes" Ebay-type projector lights suck *** IMO.

If you see most of the cars here have stock or jdm stock headlights. Stick with stock because it will never go out of style.

when i bought my hatch, it already had the one piece projectors. They light up the road awesome. Much better than the ebay ones i bought a long time ago for my old accord. There is an old thread somewhere about these that shows the lighting pattern (cant find it). If you're dead set on getting projectors look into these. Otherwise stay stock and you cant go wrong!

Projectors off EBay = Garbage.

I would suggest retrofitting Audi, BMW, S2k projectors in your housing and getting some HIDs. Much better IMO.

well first off, it depends on what KIND of projectors you are talking about.

1. Retrofitted projectors into ur stock housing?

2. E-Gay "projector type"..

Read #2, thus saying Projector type, meaning they do not, and i mean DO NOT support HID lighting kits! They will melt into molten lava (j/k about the lava). Anyway if ur talking about E-Gay lights, NO, a big FAT NO!! they light up nothing, unless you get some $60 Piaa bulbs, and saying that, they only use H1 bulbs. Good luck with that lasting 2 yrs, or even hours! The housing dipurses not heat al all what so ever and causing the bulbs to overheat and blow! (from personal experience).

Now if ur going for #1, good luck on the project, it is pretty difficult with non to little knowledge on headlights! And retrofitting!

Ebay projectors kick *** especially when you want to do a retrofit. I set up an account with procarparts for there projectors for my retrofits that i do. they are awesome housings with CLEAR Plastic or glass. and the clear housing helps so much with retrofitting.

OEM EH headlamp housings suck. Period. My hatch was run over by an F250 in a parking lot, destroying my headlamps and forcing me to get new ones. I got the TYC one piece projector lamps from eBay because they were cheap and boasted both a good light output and DOT certification. I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that these lights are more than twice as good as the stockers and I think they look great to boot.

If you really need to see them, check my garage.

My hatch came with projectors. Good quality and glass. But they do suck at lighting the road. I have to use highbeams to see anything at night.

I'm thinking of putting in some HIDs in there. Would this cure the problem?

TYC pattern for halogen is pretty impressive. but the output compared to stock is not very drastic in change

Newer TYC projectors with the H1 bulb are far superior than the older, generic H3 projectors (which spit out a fog light pattern). Some would argue that the TYC H1 is better than stock, which I think it is. The TYC H1 has a nice spread with a distinct cut-off. I've seen pic of retrofit kits in these headlights. They contain the HID light very well, with little glare and an oem style sharp cutoff.

My foglights put out more light that the TYC projectors put out. and go figure i use a h3 bulb with a good cutoff... dont jump on assumptions about H3 bulbs. its all in housing design
