I have to disagree. I measured 50 mpg once out of the D15B8 powered ITR I used to have.

btw why is there a grocery bag stuck down in your engine bay?

You can always swap in an engine and have it pass smog as long as it is newer then the year of your car. You need to have to smog equipment of course, and a cat.
So if your car is a 99, you will not have a problem swapping in an engine that is 99+ and newer.

I am sure this motor will pass smog.
its an O4 motor and all I would need is a cat. hondata has some some serious testing and they have the cal file to pass smog. I think I would need a cat. Then I would go to a shop who could care less about what engine I have and get it to pass. Or just get a "cough" legal smog
If all hell fails

oh, i was under the impression that if you swap out a higher performance engine in to your car that it would make it illegal. i guess that doesn't make sense, as it would still be makin the same amount of smog no matter what chasis its in...

's more like, you can't put a motor from a different class vehicle in your car, IIRC.
Like the B20 is from a CRV... since it's an SUV/light truck, the motor cannot be used in compact cars, since emissions for compacts have to be much less...
Since the K is from a compact car (RSX/Integra) you can use it.
AFAIK, atleast.
