Default 90 DX -----> integra b16a1 issues

ok I needed a cheap car that gets good gas mileage and is fun to drive, so I picked up a civic with a questionable motor, good tranny, and a new clutch for 800. Now stay with me because I daily drive a 66 oldsmobile 442, but I'm not really new to sport compacts either so I may be dumb. My first idea was a d16a1 from an old integra, but I read on hondaswap.com that the d16a1 from the teg wont bolt to the civic dx transmission. Why is this? I wanted to get that for 395, juice the hell out of it with a 300$ used zex kit, and kill b series swaps that cost thousands. so now its dohc zc and juice i guess.

any other cheap swaps?

I thought any d series tranny would work as long as it is on a d series engine. If it is from the '90 and up integra it for sure would not work as those are b series engines.

Really im not sure why. Are you sure the tranny wont bolt to the motor? I thought the prob with those motors were the mounting positions being dif.

well like I said, I'm a noob, and it may well work, but hondaswap.com said it wouldnt bolt to the tranny... I figured a d series is a d series.
