whats the best size tire for rota gt3 15in rims........someone told me 205/55/15.just want to see what u guys thought before i buy the wrong tires

 

It depends what kind of car you have - model, version, and year. For example, in general, most Integras do well with the 195/55-15 size that's stock on the Type R and GS-R; most older Civics do well with 195/50-15. If you put 205/55-15 on one of those cars, it will accelerate slower and it will throw off the speedometer/odometer.

It also depends on what kind of tires you're looking for. In general, you can get much better performance by getting a better tire than by looking for a particular size.

Why don't you tell us what kind of car you have, and what you're looking for in a tire. For example, will the tires be used on snow as well as in warm weather? Do you care about performance? Would you pay more for a better performing tire or would you rather get a little less performance for a lower price? Do you care about treadlife and how long your tires last?

 

it a 95 acura integra thats about to have ground controls so its lower if that matters.the tires will be for daily driving and autocross.........u know anywhere that has free shipping on tires 2.thanks

I would stick to 195/55-15 tires, which are the stock outer diameter for the '95 Integra. Assuming that you want some performance but you also care about value, and assuming that you're not going to use them for driving on snow, then I would suggest the Yokohama AVS ES100 ($61) or the Kumho Ecsta SPT ($67). Both are very good tires, very good traction on dry pavement, excellent on wet pavement, will last a reasonably long time.

Check prices and also figure out whether they charge sales tax. Calculate the total and use it to compare. For example, Discount Tire has free shipping, but they charge sales tax in most states (any state where they have stores) and their prices are sometimes a bit higher. You may find that your total will be less buying from the Tire Rack and paying shipping, than they are at Discount Tire. Shop around.
