I HATE SPEED BUMPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!
I lowered my car with Tein S Techs (2" drop i think, but i guess its supposed to be more) and i am scraping on almost EVERY speed bump and really badly angled driveway... WHAT THE ****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am seriously considering selling my car or at least reverting it to stock height!!!!!!! That **** is riddiculous!
I hear clanking stuff over big speed bumps, and the exhaust sometimes scrapes (people tell me it does, but i cant hear it)... i guess its cause the DA exhaust hangs low or something.......what do i do?!?!!? I try to drive at that **** sideways, and its a pain in the ***..
Could that clanking/scraping **** up my car/exhaust/bottom of my car, etc??? How the hell do u guys drive dropped DA's??? Seems near impossible

practice.....if you never driven a lowered car, then of course you'll learn that speed bumps and drive ways, as well as bumpy roads are not too friendly. Its not that big of a deal to scrape your exhaust or what not... just as long as your not smackin it on the speed bump then you should be fine.
if the car is "too" low for you, then why dont you buy some sport springs or run some coilovers. At least with coilovers, you could adjust your ride height

I remember my first time I drove a lowered car....hit a bump hard, now my oil pan has a nice dent in it.
what do u guys think??? options:
1) sell car, get diff honda
2) revert to stock and get coilovers later and lower it like an inch OR get some springs that dont lower it as much later
3) stop being a ***** and learn to drive it right

You will learn, every car that I have owned since age 18 (11 years ago) was lowered. You will figure out how to gauge driveways, take the correct angle or go around speed bumps, and generally watch out for road obstacles. I always had Neuspeed Race springs or something similar, so all of my cars were pretty low. I have a 92 DA now, and I don't have any problems.
Btw, lots of back seat passengers do not help, and don't ever get a 4-1 header if you have scraping problems now.
It might help if you got bigger wheels or larger sidewall tires, should give you an extra 1/4-1/2 inch of clearance that you may appreciate.

I just lowered my 90' on coilcovers. totally dropped the car and i'm having the same problem. but everyones right..practice! i've been driving this parking lot at night full of speed bumps. and i'm getting better at it. the streets are still a pain but i guess that's what comes with lowering your car. good luck!
Oh yes I can relate my bump stops are gone
My fault though shitty coilovers. Soon to get tien soon

Because they don't know how to drive either. Just learn that you have to pretty much come to a stop over a speed bump. You'll learn after that the precise speed that you can roll over them without stopping. It's very slow, but you can go the perfect speed to just creep over them and not even have to hit the gas.
After your back tires are just about to touch the ground after going over them, you start to let your clutch out and use the momentum of coming off the speed bump to just push you along. <<< retards won't be able to understand this, but if you've done it, then you'll know.

just learn how to drive it right. your car also has a bit of protection for situations where you scrape the bottem. if you look under the car, towards the passenger side of the oilpan, there's a crossmember that will save you some damage (assuming the surface ur scraping is level..) and don't worry about your exhaust pipes....just drive it with a little bit more care...thats all.

Straight on as long as you can clear it by going slow.
If it's a larger speed bump then you either hit it sideways (if possible) or go another way.
You'll learn to plan out your route before you leave your house and think about what terrain you'll have to encounter on the way.
I have been driving lowered cars for 8 years now and I can tell you that I know every single road blemish in the tri state area. LOL
Seriously, it just takes practice.

I suppose I had some practice from driving my Spitfire, nothing like getting around town in a car with 4" from the frame to the pavement stock. Even so, I've still put my Integra's front bumper into the pavement twice since I lowered it last week.
If you still have the front mud flaps on, take them off. They'll scrape on every speed bump until you do. I even scraped them at stock height when I had a passenger in the car.
