Default Help me with estimating cost to build GSR motor

Suppose I can take off my block by myself and have someone build my motor:
- Resleeve
- change to low comp piston
- upgrade connecting rods
- ARP headstud + headgasket

I know there are quite a few options for the sleeve, piston, and rods, but help me to estimate approximate cost of parts and labor.

1100 + 299+450+130+50 = 2029

yeah then you have new bearings, oil pump, water pump, prolly want a fresh bore/hone, someone to piece it together and if you arn't going to take it out of your car that'll cost you too.

I would forget sleeving unless you want more then 500-550whp....we see a lot of well tuned cars do that without sleeving now a days

I'm guessing $1100 is the labor cost?

If I do not resleeve the block, how much cheaper is it (cheaper labor also?) ?

You should check out earl's post and see what all he normally includes in the block buildup package. His price is $3075 for a built and sleeved block, +$375 if you want Pauter rods or +$275 for Manley rods (I think). Other places like exospeed, Golden Eagle have block packages a hundred or two hundred bucks cheaper, but I've heard nothing but good things about his work and Benson sleves, so I went with them. IIRC it will be approximately $1000 less if you dont get the sleeves. You should contact earl if you want more info.
