B18A1 swap in my civic, need some help! PLEASE
I hope someone can help me. I'm doing a B18A1 swap in my 93 hatch, and I need to know what to do about my VSS (speed sensor). The one on the tranny uses tranny fluid (I think). I bought an electronic vss from the junk yard out of a 95 LS but the bolt holes for it on the tranny dont line up. Did I get the wrong one? It's a YS-1 cable tranny. Please if you have done this or ran into this problem let me know, gotta get this fixed asap.
ok this is what you can do.
Pull out the whole VSS/Gear from your b18a transmission. Pull out the VSS/Gear from your d-series hydrolic transmission. Install the VSS from your d-series tranny into the b-series. It works and you don't have to mess around with wiring.
It's a direct bolt on and swap. How do I know? I've done it on a friends car and it runs great
