Is the f23 tranny a direct drop in a f22b1 engine?

The f22 tranny works alright. It can be a little rough at times in second gear since its been grinded a few times in the past. I mainly want the f23 because of the better gear ratios. I dont have one right now but now that I know its a direct drop in Ill be looking into one soon. Thanks.
Im pretty sure. All hondas are made to have good fuel economy. Some transimissions are just more performance oriented than others. In this case the f23 transmission has a faster 0-60mph time by a little more than a second if Im not mistaking.
My friend and I had a drag race one day. He has a 98 Accord 4cyl and I have a 95 EX. His was basically stock other than an intake whereas mine has quite a few mods to it other than your basic bolt ons. We tied like 3 times out of the 4 times we raced. This is part of the reason that I want the f23 tranny, that and I think mine could use a rebuild after 155k.

^ both of you go 20mph/40mph/60mph/80mph and see what rpm you are at in corresponding gears, thats an easy way to see how dramatic of difference there is... The f23 may be like the h23 transmission i guess.
[QUOTE=hondaracin24;17985479]Im not sure...all I know is that the f23 transmission has shorter gears where the f22 has longer ones for better fuel economy.....[/QUOTE
