there should be a plunger or something on the right side of the intake runners. you'll have to pull it open manually and figure a way to keep it open.
I recommend chewing gum or zip ties.

its easy as pie!!
simply, remove the vacuum line from the dashpot on the manifold (ill look for a pic).
the secondaries are NORMALLY OPEN....
when vacuum is created (motor on), the valves close.
the guy who i bought my cams from suggested i try it until i got i got a single runner manifold.... try it out, car feels different. no torque down low, but a good rush up on top. faster than with the manifold in stock form? i dont think so.... worth a shot tho

The reason not to do this is basically that there will be no benefit, and low-end power will suffer. If you still really want to do it, just unplug the vacuum line from the actuator and plug it.

There won't be any gains in the upper power band since the butterflies would already be open anyway, and as you stated, low-end power will suffer. Keep in mind that Honda designed the system like it is for a reason.

this is just a temorary fix.. im going to purchase a mani later.. thanks for all the feedback.. i wont remove the flaps or anything i will do like you said and just keep the vaccum unplugged..
unless you have some cams or headwork there is no point in doing this. The gsr manifold is meant for mid range torque........people who get single stage manifolds with stock ecu's, no form of tuning, or no headwork, don't realize that it is only hurting them!
Get some cams (itr's are perfect) and a manifold and a vafc and that will be perfect. Short on money.....then save. No point in hurting your cars performance.
(Not sure if you realize leaving the butterflies open will not help you top end because they would be open anyway in high rpms.)
